Alice Workshops 2010
Chicago: July 7 - 9
Orlando: July 19 - 21

Funded in part by grants from the National Science Foundation and supported in part through the generousity of Prentice Hall, these workshops are designed and particularly appropriate for instructors wishing to attract students into computer science as well as increase retention among computer science students.

Take advantage of this opportunity for relevant professional development! Led by the experts in the field:
  • Dr. Stephen Cooper, Purdue University
  • Dr. Wanda Dann, Carnegie Mellon University
  • Dr. Pam Lawhead, University of Mississippi

All workshop materials will be provided. A laptop is required for both workshops. The Chicago workshop will offer two levels of Alice 2.2: Beginner and Advanced. The Orlando workshop will offer workshops in the two distinct versions of Alice:

  • Alice 2.2 (targeting non-major, pre-CS1, and pre-AP courses), and
  • Alice 3 (targeting CS1 and AP CS courses)

Registration is limited. We have funding for only a limited number of FREE hotel rooms. Please e-mail bconover@purdue.edu if you are requesting accomodations. Upon registration, we will inform you if your hotel room is covered.

Registration FEE is $75. The cutoff date for advance registration is May 30, 2010.
